I've been going to Fred's for years and it has always been very consistent with the quality and portion sizes. I usually get the mu shu chicken and the amount of chicken you get is very generous, and I generally get at least two meals out of it. The ribs are also delicious, and they have great lunch specials. Very grateful to have an affordable place to eat in Nevada City!

6/22/2019: On this day Deanna Jaxine Stinson and I, Paul Dale Roberts were VIP guests at the ParaMystic & Solstice Celebration, hosted by the Northern California Black Hat Society. This event made us super hungry, so we stopped off at this restaurant. Very reasonable prices. Deanna ordered a Scorpion (drink), chow mein and I had chicken fried rice. So much food, I couldn't finish it all. Deanna also had spring rolls and they were scrumptious! I wish this place was relocating to Elk Grove!

My son ate their food late Friday night and the next morning he was vomiting at 6am. Last night he ordered it again and the same thing happened. He is vomiting again. He will never eat their again. Something is not right.

We love Fred's. We are vegetarians who work very close by and so many times Fred's becomes the most convenient choice and then is extremely delicious. We have to use a lot of effort to avoid overeating, but the leftovers are worth it. They are very friendly with us and we are very happy to support them. Try the vegetarian Happy family with some spring rolls :-)

After hiking nearby, my boyfriend and I visited Nevada City and were eager to fill our empty stomachs. We decided on this location, and chose the House Special Dinner for two, which included a LOT of food. We got a plate of Sweet & Sour Pork, a plate of Chicken with Cashews, and a plate of Pork Fried Rice. In addition, we each got an egg roll, fried prawns, wrapped chicken, and a bowl of wonton soup! It was more food than we imagined we'd get, and the price was low for what we received. The food was all very tasty and filling, and the service was quick (there were only two other tables occupied). We had a bunch that we took home, and were very satisfied with what we received.
